The only thing more dangerous than being terminally ill is being so and not believing you are.
And Jesus answered them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”
Luke 5:31-32 ESV
To you, my brother, who thinks himself to have everything under control:
The truth is you have a condition, and it requires immediate attention. If you do nothing, it will only progressively get worse. Left neglected long enough, it will kill you. You may or may not be experiencing adverse symptoms right now, but it is only a matter of time before you start to see the effects of your condition.
There is, however, a physician capable of handling this matter, and he is available. The procedure is difficult, and you will likely have scar tissue in the places needing care. But if you are willing, you can be healed.
In the meantime, it may behoove you to cut back on, or altogether stop practicing the habits that are serving as catalysts to your sickness. While probably comfortable for you, these practices are killing you.
When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be healed?”
